For 25 years, I have studied what makes ultraperforming leaders and organizations fundamentally different. Not simply what they do better, but how they think, work, and organize themselves. That research continues today.
Studying the underlying logic
My work combines in-depth conversations with business leaders, long-term observation of organizations, and the study of what leaders actually do in their daily work. I connect those observations with research in psychology, behavioral science, philosophy, and organizational science.
The question is not how to copy another company's success. It is how to understand the business logic behind it.
From MAKE to BECOME
A central distinction emerged from my research. MAKE-driven organizations begin with the external results they want to obtain. BECOME-driven organizations begin with their intrinsic DNA and the value they exist to create. That difference shapes their strategy, leadership, organization, and everyday work.

Research that remains connected to practice
I continue this work through BECOME® Institute, which I co-founded, and through my books. My own BECOME® Practice keeps me directly involved in the realities of businesses and brands. Research, writing, and practical application continually inform one another.
